IconSpotlight

A. P. Giannini Middle School was named after the founder of the Bank of America. The Giannini Family Foundation has established a partnership with the school and generously supports us by each year funding binder reminders for each of our 1300 students. The Claire Giannini Foundation has provided funds to sponsor a historical essay contest. The 6th grade class has studied the theme of tolerance and written essays to show its presence in history. Over 100 students were awarded savings bonds last year as a result of their writing.

A. P. Giannini prides itself on making a big school small with a program where 6th grade students are in self-contained or core classes, 7th grade students are in teams, and 8th grade students are in individual classes that prepare them for the high school experience. Students are honored at both the 4.0 Scholarship and On-the-Rise Teas.

The school is known for its excellence in academics that provides programs servicing GATE, ELL, and Special Education students. It has an award-winning music program that offers choir, orchestra, and band, and a unified arts program with drama, art, and woodshop.

Our school’s athletic teams have won numerous district championships and the sports program ends each year by honoring its athletes at the Jaguar Sports Banquet.
