Named in honor of the renowned Swedish diplomat, Raoul Wallenberg, the high school was established in 1981 as an alternative high school within the San Francisco Unified School District. Emphasis is on academic preparation, acceptance of time-honored American traditions, adherence to a dress code, and ultimate matriculation. Enrollment is open to all students in San Francisco.
