B&G consists of the crafts shops (carpenters, roofers, laborers, glaziers, locksmiths, painters, plumbers, iron & sheet metal workers, automobile mechanic and stationary engineers), The B&G Work Control Center processes work requests, which are received electronically via REQUESTLINE, telephone or fax.

The Custodial Services Department consists of custodians who clean the schools and District administrative sites, window washers, street cleaner, gardeners and the myriad of equipment associated with these services. Physical Security (guard service, roving patrols and the security alarm system) is a collateral responsibility.

Fire Safety is responsible for testing and maintenance of fire alarms, fire sprinkler systems etc., and elevators. Fire Safety also serves as the District’s liaison with the fire department's Fire Marshall's Office for various safety matters.
