At Sanchez Elementary School, near Mission Dolores in colorful Eureka Valley, teachers and parents collaborate to enrich the curriculum. Children read relevant, engaging literature, pursue in-depth math understanding, learn about the world and its cultures, and work toward building leadership, social competence and problem-solving strategies. librarian-staffed Library-Media Center, every Sanchez classroom offers its own library of at least 250 titles. The library and computer lab are open during the lunch period, with the librarian holding daily, age-appropriate book talks. An excellent English Plus Spanish Program is available for students learning English as a second language. A high quality Pre-K program is off e red for children ages 3 to 5 years.
