Mission Education Center is a K-5 school for newly arrived immigrant students who speak only Spanish. This transitional program aims to help the newcomer achieve the skills and confidence to succeed in the regular schools to which they will transfer at the end of one year. The three main goals are oral English proficiency, academic achievement and orientation to life in a multicultural society. Core subjects are taught in Spanish.
