Garfield is a recipient of the 2003 California State Achieving School Award. Our school community is excited about the distinct honor and very proud of our students’ achievement, which has show impressive gains in seven consecutive years. Our API score on the state-wide standardized test in spring 2003 jumped another 89 points to 818, placing our school in the top quintile among California schools.
