Welcome to the Principals’ Center Collaborative. This Court School was developed through the collaborative efforts of the San Francisco Unified School District, San Francisco Juvenile Probation and the San Francisco Juvenile Court. This school is designed to support students through their term of juvenile probation by providing an extended day on a small campus with increased academic and behavioral supports.
The Principals’ Center Collaborative provides 9th – 12th grade core academic classes, referencing California State Content Standards and district-adopted curriculum. Upon completion of the program, students are prepared to re-enter a comprehensive high school.
The school day starts with a Leadership class. This period grounds students in the school day. Aggression Replacement Training (ART) is conducted three days a week in gender-based groups. This intervention program is designed to teach adolescents to understand and replace aggression and antisocial behavior with positive alternatives. The program’s three-part approach includes training in Pro-social Skills, Anger Control, and Moral Reasoning. |
